This program offers parents a slightly longer work day or just a bit of free time, and offers students a various opportunities to build Social Emotional skills, as well as participate in exciting offerings and adventures. Click here to see some of the summer camp and afterschool outings!
As with all of our programs, Social Emotional well-being is our top priority. Thus, an essential component of the afterschool program is offering children space to voice feelings and ideas, to work through conflicts with one another, and even to brainstorm solutions to challenges they are facing outside of Patchwork. Students learn NVC (non-violent communication), as and collaborate as a team to make group decisions. The mixed-age group allows for mentoring and learning from one another, and students also at times have opportunities to interact with the preschool students.
In addition, students can champion ideas such as field trips, group or individual projects, they can ask for support with homework, or take some time to rest and get a snack after a long day.
For me, it’s so helpful to have a few extra hours during the week and extremely convenient when the van picks them up. I also appreciate that this helps reinforce the social emotional learning that occurred during her preschool years and gives her an outlet to work through some of the school day stresses.

Registration Options
You have the choice of registering for:
- Full-time (1 or 2 days each week, 2:45-5:30pm) – For one quarter (three months) the cost is $200 for one day or $400 for two days.
- Punch Card (Any 10 days) – If you’re not sure how often you’ll need afterschool care, you can purchase a punch card for $20/punch.
- We are also offering trial days that you can purchase individually just to try it out!

If your child attends Louisville Elementary School, Fireside, or Coal Creek, we are now offering transportation from school to Patchwork!
